Description:
DANTE-MIC01 is an Dante audio network addressable microphone. The microphone is powered by PoE+ network switch meaning no external power supply is required. This Dante® microphone is particularly suitable for long distance audio streaming applications of higher sound quality requirements. It is used with CMX Dante Enabled speaker to set up easy use IP network audio solutions. It can be used for applications where several audio channels have to be transmitted over great distances and to different areas or locations. The fields of application include schools, office buildings, fitness center, shops and restaurants. The quality of the cable is not required to be as high as with analogue transmissions and even with greater distances, the signal features a comparably low susceptibility to interference. Compared with other Audio over Ethernet applications, e.g. CobraNet, Dante® can support gigabit applications with several channels, features a lower latency and automatic configuration. The installation is quite easy: the desktop microphone is connected to the network via the RJ45 jack and supplied with power via Ethernet cable (PoE). The free software “Dante Controller” allows you to determine which Dante-enabled receiver is recipient of the routed audio signals. It is possible to transmit uncompressed and synchronized digital audio signals with virtually no latency. The touch-sensitive microphone button allows you to select the following operating modes: PTT or on/off. It is also possible to activate the 3-step attenuation which is separately selected in case of high-volume signal sources.
